Chimera - Suli Holum & Deborah Stein
Chimera is a play for one character whose central problem is that she literally contains multitudes. Taking as its starting point the real-life story of a Boston homemaker who discovered that she was her own twin, this tightly spun narrative will use video, an original soundscape, and an uncomfortably intimate relationship between performer and audience to explore the relationship between the self and the body, motherhood and individuality, and what happens when biology shatters our ideas of who we think we are.
